§ 10.12.240. Stopping after accident required.

  • It is unlawful for the driver of a vehicle which has collided with any vehicle, person or property, in such a manner as to cause injury or damage, to fail or refuse to stop immediately, to render such assistance as may be possible, to give his true name and residence to the injured person or the owner of the property damaged, and to a policeman if one is present. A report of each such accident shall be given by the driver of each vehicle concerned in it to the chief of police within twenty-four hours after the accident.
