§ 12.20.160. Permit fee.

  • A.

    The permit fee for the erection or construction of signs shall be fifty dollars. However, if the erection or construction of the sign involves the change of a panel only, the fee shall be twenty-five dollars.

    B.

    There shall be no permit fee for the altering of an existing sign or the replacement of a sign, provided that the display area of the altered or replacement sign is not greater than the display area of the sign being altered or replaced. If such display area is greater, then the permit fee as set forth in subsection A of this section shall apply.

    C.

    The permit fee for a temporary sign shall be twenty-five dollars.

    D.

    The permit for a sidewalk sign shall be thirty-five dollars.

    E.

    A permit fee for a temporary sidewalk sign shall be twenty-five dollars.

    F.

    Any person or company guilty of erecting, altering or maintaining a sign without first securing the necessary permit shall be subject to a penalty fee of not less than fifty dollars and not more than five hundred dollars.
