§ 15.24.020. Adoption of rules.

A.

Pursuant to the recommendation of the electrical commission there are adopted as safe and practical standards for the installation, alteration and use of electrical equipment in the city;

1.

The rules and regulations of the National Board of Fire Underwriters, as contained in the Code known as the National Electric Code, and as approved by the American Standards Association and as last published; and

2.

The rules and regulations regarding the installation, alteration and use of electrical equipment last adopted by the electric supply company now supplying the city, and as last published and filed with the Illinois Commerce Commission, a copy of the Code and the last-mentioned rules and regulations being now on file in the office of the clerk.

B.

The building inspector shall act as and have all the powers of and duties herein given to the electrical inspector.
