§ 2.12.010. Election—Term.

The city clerk shall be elected and serve for a four-year term and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified as provided by statute. The city clerk's fiscal year salary shall be a maximum of three thousand dollars and shall be payable based on attendance at the regularly scheduled meetings of the council at a rate of one hundred twenty-five dollars per meeting (maximum of twenty-four meetings per year), payable in October and April of that fiscal year. In the event that the city council does not meet a second meeting in December, the city clerk is deemed to have attended that second meeting in December. The city clerk shall be permitted to miss two regular meetings per fiscal year without missing a payment.

Editor's note

Ord. No. 2010-13, § 6, provides that the salaries set forth in this section shall apply only to officials elected or appointed after April 5, 2011.
