§ 5.08.135. License—Class G—Catering.

  • A.

    The holder of a Class A or Class C license may apply for a Class G license, which authorizes the retail sale of alcohol for consumption on premises other than that of the license holder, at a location within the boundaries as set forth in Section 5.08.190 of this code, when such premises are not the premises of the license holder seeking a Class G license.

    B.

    A Class G License may be issued per event or for a period of one year, but said license shall only be valid for a twelve-hour period for each catering event. The applicant for such license must specifically state the hours for which such license is desired on the application for that license. All restrictions regarding the sale of alcohol, including types of alcohol and hours of sale of alcohol, which apply to the applicant's Class A or Class C license shall apply to the Class G license.

    C.

    The fee for a Class G license shall be as follows:

    1.

    Fifty dollars per event; or

    2.

    Five hundred dollars for an annual license;

    3.

    Any applicant that applies for a tenth event license in a single fiscal year for the city shall not be required to pay any additional fee.

    D.

    A holder of an annual Class G liquor license shall be permitted, upon receipt of written authorization from the local municipality or county liquor commissioner, to cater outside the city limits of Byron, so long as the city is provided seven-day notice of the date and occasion of such catering event.
