§ 6.04.020. Running at large—Impoundment.

  • A.

    It is unlawful to permit any dog to run at large in the city. Dogs which are on any street, alley or sidewalk or other public place without being held securely on a leash shall be deemed to be running at large.

    B.

    Dogs which are running at large shall be taken up and impounded by the police department.

    C.

    The penalty for permitting any dog to run at large shall be twenty-five dollars for the first offense in any calendar year; fifty dollars for the second offense in any calendar year; and seventy-five dollars for the third such offense in any calendar year.
