§ 8.24.010. Discharge/sale of fireworks prohibited.

Except as hereinafter provided, no person, firm, entity or corporation shall offer for sale, expose for sale, sell at retail, keep with intent to sell at retail, use or explode any fireworks within the city except that the chief of police, or his designee, may issue permits for supervised displays of fireworks in the city by associations, government entities, not-for-profit organizations or other organizations or groups of individuals as provided in this chapter. The chief of police shall seize, take, remove or cause to be removed at the expense of the owner all stocks of fireworks or combustibles offered or exposed for sale, stored or held in violation of this chapter.
