§ 8.24.040. Applications for displays.

  • Applications for permits to operate a display of fireworks in conformance with the terms of this chapter shall be made in writing on forms provided by the chief of police. Such application shall set forth, at a minimum, the following information:

    A.

    The name of the organization sponsoring the display, together with the names of persons actually in charge of the firing of the display.

    B.

    Evidence of financial responsibility.

    C.

    The date and time of display at which the display is to be held.

    D.

    The exact location planned for the display.

    E.

    A description setting forth the age, experience and physical characteristics of the persons who are to do the actual discharging of the fireworks.

    F.

    The number and kinds of fireworks to be discharged.

    G.

    The manner and place of storage of such fireworks prior to the display.

    H.

    A diagram of the grounds on which the display is to be held showing the point at which the fireworks are to be discharged, the location of all buildings, highways and other lines of communication, the lines behind which the audience will be restrained, and the location of all nearby trees, telephone lines or other overhead obstructions.
