§ 16.05.020. Purpose.

The following provisions establishing reasonable standards of design and procedure for developments and re-developments of land and of areas subject to redevelopment within the City of Byron and environs are set forth in this title and are adopted for the following purpose: In order to promote the realization of the comprehensive plan of the City of Byron as amended from time to time, and environs (the territory within the jurisdiction of the plan commission); in order to provide reasonable requirements for public streets, community facilities and other public grounds; in order to provide for the health, safety, comfort and convenience of the residents of the City of Byron and environs; and in order that owners and developers of land may have a procedural guide.
