§ 5.08.115. License—Class D—Clubs.

  • A.

    Retail sale on the premises specified of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, to all persons that are members and guests of clubs.

    B.

    The requirement that the premises be clearly viewable from the street shall not apply as set forth in Section 5.08.280, and specifically, a second floor barroom facility will be permitted for clubs only.

    C.

    Hours shall be Monday through Saturday six a.m. to one a.m. the following day. December 31st hours shall be from six a.m. until three a.m. January 1st.

    D.

    Sunday Opening. It shall be permissible for a club to open on Sunday as long as the barroom facilities are closed.

    E.

    Any holder of a Class D license is prohibited in the retail sale of alcoholic beverages to the general public and all sales under a Class D license shall be to club members and guests of club members only.

    F.

    The annual fee shall be four hundred dollars, but may be paid semi-annually in advance.

    G.

    No Class D liquor license shall be issued without a background check as provided in this chapter, the recommendation of the liquor commissioner and approval by the city council.
