§ 5.08.110. License—Class C—Restaurants/beer and wine only.

  • A.

    A restaurant/no open bar license shall entitle the licensee to sell alcoholic liquor at retail only for consumption on the premises in connection with the sale of a meal. No bar shall be allowed on the premises.

    B.

    Hours shall be Monday through Saturday six a.m. to one a.m. the following day and Sunday from eleven a.m. to ten p.m. December 31st hours shall be from six a.m. to three a.m. on January 1st. In addition, during Exelon outages and/or pre-outages, the hours on Monday through Saturday may be extended from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on dates to be determined by the liquor commissioner, with the advise and consent of the city council.

    C.

    There shall be a one-time initial fee for each applicant for such license of five thousand dollars. In addition to the initial fee, the annual fee for such license shall be nine hundred dollars, but may be paid semi-annually in advance. However, in order to be open on Sundays at the hours set forth in paragraph B of this section, an additional fee of three hundred dollars shall be paid. Class C licenses that opt for Sunday hours shall be designated as Class C-1 on the face of the license.

    D.

    No Class C liquor license shall be issued without a background check as provided in this chapter, the recommendation of the liquor commissioner and approval by the city council.
