§ 5.36.010. Definitions.

For the purposes of this chapter, the following words shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:

"Charitable" means the use of money or property for the benefit of any charitable, religious, benevolent, humane, philanthropic or patriotic purpose.

"Hawker" means any person who offers for sale any merchandise, article, food or thing by calling out in the street.

"Peddler" means any person who offers for sale any merchandise, article, food or thing adjacent to the streets or sidewalks, whether on public or private property.

"Person" means any individual, corporation, partnership, trust, firm, association or other entity.
